Description

The course is Intended for policy-makers, decision-makers, innovators and ecosystem builders who wish to build thriving entrepreneurial communities that can navigate technological revolutions and create competitive ICT industries. The course introduces key terminologies, concepts, tools and steps to assess your country's innovation capacity through practical information. Upon completion of the course, you will understand: Innovation, digital ecosystems and digital transformation, and their relationship to national development priorities.

The course is intended for policy-makers, decision-makers, innovators and ecosystem builders who wish to build thriving entrepreneurial communities that can navigate technological revolutions and create competitive ICT industries. 

The course introduces key terminologies, concepts, tools and steps to assess your country's innovation capacity through practical information. Upon completion of the course, you will understand: 

  • Innovation, digital ecosystems and digital transformation, and their relationship to national development priorities. 
  • How digital entrepreneurship can contribute to making your country an innovation-driven economy, who the key stakeholders in your ecosystem are and their roles in digital transformation.
  • Your country's digital innovation gap and how to measure it. 
  • How to diagnose the specifics of the digital innovation gap. 
  • How to develop a high-level roadmap to close this gap.

It should take you approximately 5 hours to go through the course modules as well as your participation in the discussion forums. 

The online course methodology will be as follows: 

  • There are three course modules in addition to the introduction. The content will open in a new window and will take you through a series of interactive activities. There are 3 modules in total.
  • Each module includes a discussion forum. You are encouraged to participate and interact with other students.
  • The final quiz will be available after you have completed third module and the course evaluation form.

Remember that to unlock the following module you need to have participated in at least one discussion in the module's forum!

To achieve the Course Completion Badge: you must complete all course content, with a total score higher than 70%, fill in the course evaluation form and pass the final quiz.

Module 1: Understanding your ecosystem. Learn about important concepts and resources, giving you a better understanding of your ecosystem, and how to start measuring its performance.

 

Module 2: Diagnosing your ecosystem. Learn about ITU’s ecosystem-diagnosing approach. You will become familiar with tools designed to help you with this process.

 

Module 3: Putting it all together. Learn why it is crucial to pay attention to fast-changing technology, its impact on your ICT ecosystem, and why policy experimentation is the new normal for policy development. Lastly, we will share a case study to illustrate ITU tools’ practical applications in an ecosystem.

Unless specified otherwise, all Â鶹ÉçÊÓƵ training courses are open to all interested professionals, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, economic status and other diverse backgrounds. We strongly encourage registrations from female participants, and participants from developing countries. This includes least developed countries, small island developing states and landlocked developing countries.
